Whew! Landree shows off her little temper! She does NOT like fruit!
Proof Landree has fun at daycare......maybe too much fun! Is that a mischievous look or what? Check out the picture page for more new pics of Landree.
Check out Landree playing with her toys and sitting up all by herself! Yay!

Landree turned seven months old on Wednesday! I can't believe time has gone by so fast. She's getting so big! We've been working with her on learning to sit up by herself. ECI comes to her daycare once a week to work with her and her teachers have been helping her too. She did it! Yay! We're so proud of her! She's a little wobbly but she's doing good! The age range for when kids with Down Syndrome are able to sit up by themselves is anywhere between 6 and 30 months. That's quite the wide range. It's hard to predict when she'll reach certain milestones. Each child is so different. I guess that's true with any child just not to the same extent. I've never been much of a wait and see kind of gal so sometimes I have to remind myself to forget about the age ranges and charts. We'll just have to wait and see what Miss Landree has in store for us!

Landree got to meet our horse, Harper, this week. I'm a little behind on that one. I think her big brother started going to visit and pet the horses when he was a couple months old. She loved Harper! She lit up when she got to sit on her. (Don't worry. I cleaned her hands with a baby wipe as soon as we got back to the car.) Harper wasn't quite as excited about the meeting. She was more concerned with the feed bucket. That's ok. I'm sure they'll be the best of friends when Landree gets a little older. I think we've got a little cowgirl on our hands! I might need to go ahead and start looking for her a pair of pink boots and a sparkly belt!

Thursday's trip to the doctor went well. The x-rays showed that Landree has a bad sinus infection. I've never been so thankful for an infection! The doctor put her on a strong antibiotic for two weeks. He thinks the antibiotics she's taken before just haven't been strong enough and she hasn't been on them long enough to completely get rid of the infection. We're supposed to call him if she's not well after two weeks but he thinks this will take care of it. If so, that means no further pulmonary testing. Yay! Her cough got worse on Friday but I think it might be a tiny bit better today. While we were at the hospital we took Landree to the Build-a-Bear workshop. She paid close attention to the lady as she stuffed her very first Build-a-Bear.  It's a cute, floppy eared bunny that giggles when you squeeze the hand. I got tickled when her daddy made them readjust and pull some of the stuffing out to make sure it was soft enough. We put three little hearts in it for her. One for mommy, one for daddy and one for big brother Will. It had to be just perfect for our baby girl!

Being sick hasn't seemed to affect Landree much. She's getting to be more and more fun all the time. Last night I repainted her toenails. I was worried she would be wiggley and rub it off before it dried. She sat perfectly still and watched as I painted them. I think she must like the pearl finish because she hasn't stopped looking at her toenails. We had a sort of lazy day today after church. Landree laid on the bed watching tv next to her daddy. She kept stretching her legs out and raising her feet so she could see her toenails. She was so funny. Later we tried to help her practice sitting up but she kept falling over. She was so busy staring at her toenails that she couldn't concentrate on keeping her balance. She never took her eyes off of them. I think she's definitely going to be a girly girl. The only things she likes to look at more than her painted toenails are her cousin Cadie's new blingy watch and sparkly shirt.

Be sure to check out the updated picture page. I hope everybody has a good Monday. Once again thanks for the prayers. They worked!
